We generally use the consignment method for buying, however we can do straight buys for smaller quantities of items. We never do straight buys on designer purses that retail for over $600.
We now accept walk ins for consignment anytime during our business hours, which is everyday from 11 to 7. However, if you are unsure if we accept the kinds of items you take (see brand we love below or the FAQ page for more info) or have just 1 or 2 items you're looking to sell, an appointment is suggested. To start a new consignment account, we must accept at least 6 items. Gift of Garb accepts seasonal items that are clean and in excellent condition. We also look for items that are no older than 2-3 years old (or vintage). For items that sell over $1,000, consignors receive 65% of the selling price. For items that sell for under $1,000 you will receive 50% of the final selling price in trade or 40% by check at their end of the 90 days.
